10 ways to use the spikey headline

defend yourself See The Spikey in Action!

See 10 ways the Spikey can get you out of trouble by viewing photos of different positions and situations. Our primary goal within The Vigilance Group and The Spikey family is to teach the concept that Vigilance Reduces Vulnerabilities, and that simply learning how to recognize danger before its encountered is the best method in avoiding confrontation! We are strong advocates of teaching others to trust their intuition and to understand the concept of skillful observation and response. more

However, many times victims are attacked with very little warning and a physical assault is beyond their control. When this occurs the quickest way to safety is to immediately become a LION and not a LAMB. By carrying the Spikey you have given yourself a better opportunity to create space and separation by a simple and natural reflex of your hand. Within minutes of viewing our training CD and manual you will acquire the skill and knowledge to use the Spikey in a defensive manner to inflict pain upon your attacker that may give you those precious few seconds to allow you to escape. We commonly refer to this action as become a Victor not a Victim!

Let’s use the following pictures for the 10 ways the Spikey can get you out of trouble.

number1 Photo 1 self defense The Spikey can give you immediate space from your assailant by doing the “chest strike” immediately after being grabbed from the frontmore
number2 Photo 2 self defense

If being choked from the front your immediate action must be to maintain your breathing. The Spikey can be very effective to move the assailant’s arm by striking the inside crook of the arm and pushing down…hard

number3 Photo 3 self defense If your hair is being pulled, face your assailant and strike the side of the head or temple area of the assailant’s face. The chest strike might also be effective
number4 Photo 4 self defense The rear choke (Guillotine hold) can be deadly within seconds. You must respond immediately and try to clear the airway by moving the assailant’s arm. The Spikey is very effective if plunged hard (top rear spike) into the assailant’s hand, wrist or forearm and then pulled. The pain shoots through the sensitive nerves and makes the arm move down and away from your throat.
number5 Photo 5 self defense The violent hair pull from the front can also be countered with a “hammer fist strike” using the bottom point of the Spikey into the upper chest area or sternum, where there is little padding from skin or fat.
number6 Photo 6 self defense If you have been forced onto your back, a fist strike with the Spikey to the frontal nasal cavity or eye sockets can get the attacker to loosen his hold.
number7 Photo 7 self defense The attacker’s two handed grab can be broken if you use a violent “hammer fist strike” down into the tender wrist area just about the hand
number8 Photo 8 self defense To counter the purse snatching from behind a quick reaction Spikey strike to the hands of the attacker can be effective.
number9 Photo 9 self defense Another counter to the rear purse snatching can be a “side hammer fist strike” to the attacker’s temple area round the face. Very effective.
number10 Photo 10 self defense The Spikey may be grabbed in various ways depending on your reaction time as the events unfold. This is another way to employ the Spikey if you quickly grab your keys (Spikey) from your pocket or purse.
